Welcome to The Star, traditional in look, feel & service. We are just custodians of your pub, drink makes a bar but customers make a true local pub.
Originally a 17th century dwelling nestled on the corner of Wheeler Street & Petworth Road in the friendly Surrey village of Witley, Godalming just 15 minutes from Guildford it is now a warm & friendly Public House with great ales, beers, lagers, wines & spirits but most of all a great community. As caretakers of this beautiful old pub we endeavour to keep it just that, the word gastro is banned but fresh home-cooked food in our small dining area is a perfect place to come and unwind before being enveloped by the friendliness of Witley & The Stars terrific regulars.
Dog friendly
We here at the Star, Witley are dog friendly & love dogs, due to social distancing all dogs MUST be kept on the lead at all times.
Our Food
We have a good variety of food here a The Star t eat in or take away. Three menus our man menu full of pub classics & a selection of vegetarian dishes, our Munches menu with burgers, southern fried chicken and pizzas and of course as every real pub should our Sunday roast menu with fresh locally sourced (where possible) meat & veg.
